Battle of Britain veteran Geoffrey Wellum banks his Spitfire around and heads back to base.
After the fury of battle the skies are suddenly clear and he can relax briefly. All too soon he will be refuelled, rearmed and back in the air with the other pilots of the famous 92 Squadron. Geoffrey Wellum DFC was one of the youngest RAF pilots to take part in the Battle of Britain which he did with distinction, he subsequently took part in other operations including the defence of Malta.
