British Airways Boeing 767 landing in heavy snow on Christmas Eve.
Boeing's twin-engine, wide-bodied airliner first entered service in 1982 and it is still in service with over 100 operators worldwide. A highly flexible base platform has allowed the 767 to be continually upgraded to meet modern requirements and also to be adapted for other uses such as freight and military applications.
The 767 entered operations with British Airways in 1990, the fleet eventually totalled 31 aircraft, mostly the 767-300ER variant. After nearly three decades of sterling service the 767s were retired in 2018.
