British Airways Boeing 787 Dreamliner landing in heavy weather on Christmas Eve.
Boeing's twin-engine, mid-sized, wide-body airliner first flew in 2009 and entered commercial service in 2011. British Airways took delivery of its first batch of 787 Dreamliners in 2013 as part of plans to phase out its aging 747s. Admired for its speed, long range, fuel efficiency and passenger comfort, the 787 is now an integral part of the British Airways long haul fleet.
