Dakota in the Snow - Christmas Card M547
Aviation art Christmas card featuring an RAF Douglas Dakota in the winter of 1944. Based on the highly successful Douglas DC-3 airliner the military transport version was designated the C-47 Skytrain - or Dakota when in RAF service. A versatile aircraft that saw service with many countries - over 1900 were received by the RAF and they were used extensively in every theatre of World War Two.
