USAAF Douglas C-47 'Whiskey 7' prior to the D-Day landings, early June 1944. W7 was the lead aircraft of the 37th Troop Carrier Squadron and successfully dropped paratroopers of the 505th PIR, 82nd Airborne into St-Mere-Eglise in Normandy.
