A pair of Bristol Beaufighter TF Mk X torpedo bombers of 236 Squadron, part of Coastal Command's North Coates Strike Wing, flash through a Norwegian fjord, 1944.
Having unloaded a salvo of rockets and torpedos at German shipping targets the aircraft head for home: flying low and fast they hug the cliff faces of the fjord as much as possible to make it harder for the enemy gun batteries to lock on to them.
