Original oil painting on high quality stretched canvas featuring P-40s of the First Pursuit Squadron AVG (American Volunteer Group), the 'Flying Tigers' over China in 1942.
The canvas is signed on the back by one of the best know of the Flying Tigers, Richard 'Dick' Rossi who flew with the First Pursuit Squadron in 1942. He later transferred to the China National Aviation Corporation flying supplies from India to China across the perilous Himalayas route. By the end of the war he had completed 735 trips across 'The Hump'.
