Heading Home - BOAC Vickers VC10 by Stephen Brown

British Overseas Airways Corporation Vickers VC10 over the Alps in the early 1970s.
Instantly recognisable with its high tail and rear-engined quad configuration, the VC10 is widely regarded as one of the most attractive airliners ever built. Although produced in relatively small numbers the VC10 gave long service from its introduction in the mid-1960s to its retirement in 1981. The VC10 still holds the record for the fastest Atlantic crossing by a sub-sonic airliner of 5 hours and 1 minute. Military versions of the VC10 have been used for any years by the RAF, notably the K3 air refuelling tanker which continued in service until 2013.

All prints are signed and numbered by the artist.

Framing - an excellent quality frame is used, finished with a subtle mix of silver and gold tones. It has been carefully chosen to look good with most room styles and colour schemes, both traditional and modern.
