Original pencil drawing on archival quality toned paper with colour highlights featuring an RAF English Electric Lightning F.3 of 111 Squadron taking off from a snow covered airfield in the mid-1960s.
After its retirement from active service this aircraft, XR713, spent many years as a gate guardian at RAF Leuchars. It was subsequently acquired and restored to a high standard by the Lightning Preservation Group based at Bruntingthorpe in Leicestershire.
This drawing is presented professionally triple mounted using high quality acid free conservation mount board incorporating RAF wings and is ready to frame for display.
Signed by the artist and supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity.
